Proceed from Rathmullan in the direction of Portsalon passing Otway Golf Club after about 4 miles and then White Strand on the right. Continuing towards Portsalon the next landmark is Scraggy Bay on the right. Continue on the main road for approximately 1 mile and the cottage/site is on the right identified by our For Sale sign.

Portsalon, one of the county’s most popular holiday locations, is about 30 minutes from Letterkenny. It hosts a fine, challenging 18 hole links golf course (regularly improved by 2014 Ryder Cup Captain Paul McGinley). The village has a well stocked mini supermarket with small restaurant plus further restaurant and bar, by the golf club. Kerrykeel village is just 10 minutes away with local shops and bars. Letterkenny, the county’s principal town has all the amenities expected of a major Irish town.

Up until the 2nd half of the 20th century there was very little in the area. Development since then has largely been measured to protect the natural beauty. Magheradrummond Beach is world renowned – deemed the 2nd most beautiful beach in the world by The Observer.
