Coming into the village of Rathmullan from the Ramelton direction turn left at the butchers & supermarket. Take the first right turn after about 100 metres (past the row of white houses on the right) and No. 6 Market Square will be found on the left.

The name Rathmullan derives from the Irish name Ráth Maoláin which means ‘The Ringfort of Maoláin’. It is situated on the western shores of Lough Swilly 11 km from Ramelton and 12 km from Milford and serves as an important historical village as it was the scene of The Flight of the Earls in 1607 – a major turning point in Irish history.

Consistently one of the county`s most popular holiday destinations, Rathmullan’s expansive sandy beach with its long jetty is breathtaking.
